Parkland Metropolitan District President Jack Hoagland denied making false claims in the process of condemning a path through a local farm after Brighton City Councilors raised questions about potential misrepresentations.
At issue is Palizzi Farm and Hoagland’s effort to condemn part of it to run a stormwater line. The farm says the development would destroy its operations, but Hoagland has doubled down in a June 5 letter to Brighton officials to say farming would continue there.
A letter, sent from Hoagland on June 5 to members of the Brighton City Council, City Manager Michael Martinez and City Attorney Alicia Calderon, defends Parkland’s plan to obtain a 40-foot-wide easement across Deb Palizzi’s property from east to west.
