A wallet found on the shore of a pond in Greeley led to the discovery of two bodies on June 27, after it was discovered by local firefighters training in the area.
From CBS News Colorado, “The bodies were removed from the pond on Sunday. The Greeley Police Department says the men were 23 and 21 years old, respectively, but will not be publicly identified until their families have been notified.”
The two men have now been identified as Juan Carlos Garcia Blanco, 22, and Jose Fernando Garcia Atlahua, 21. Both lived in Greeley, and the coroner has not yet released the autopsy report. Accidental drowning is reportedly the expected cause of death.
