Inquiring minds want to know: Did Joe Biden wait two days before testing for COVID?
Following Biden’s debate heard round the world last week, the panicked White House and campaign communications teams began making excuses.
He was tired from debate prep.
He was jet lagged from “back to back trips,” from which he returned 12 days prior.
He had a cold.
The cold excuse is stunning if you think about it for more than a few seconds. A sick old man was out in public, meeting “supporters” and shaking hands and super spreading at the campaign event before the debate, at the debate, at the campaign event after the debate, and then at the Waffle House.
He was not masked. He was not distanced. And, according to the White House, he was most definitely sick.
Biden has had several campaign events since the Atlanta debate, and on Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre told the briefing room that the President still has a cold.
Are colds not contagious any longer? Trust the science?
Also, how can we be certain it's a cold?
As they were shaping the cold narrative, Team Biden said the President tested negative for COVID; but they did not clarify when that test was taken.
And if he took the test the day he felt sick, he may have had a false negative according to a new study out of CU.
"As COVID cases climb across the country, a new study from the University of Colorado Boulder suggests you shouldn't test for the virus as soon as you start feeling sick... In a paper published this month in the journal Science Advances, researchers found it's best to wait two days after symptoms arise to take a rapid test, since the virus is likely undetectable until then."
I know what you’re thinking. “COVID is over, why are you making a big deal about a cold?”
Because, according to the local news, COVID is definitely not over:
They want you and me and the rest of the herd to comply again.
