A dark, black cloud looms over the El Paso County GOP, as political factions battle for ideological dominance while county voters demand the party get its act together.

But calls for and commitments to unity continue to be met with personal baggage and unfettered drama. Whatever happened to keeping personalities at the door for good of the cause?
For the good of the nation?
The finger pointing is an embarrassment and, if unity is impossible, blue control of our state’s largest county may become possible. While previously unthinkable, Republicans cannot continue to take voters for granted in the Centennial State.
