On Tuesday, the House Judiciary Committee heard public comment for Senate Bill 25-003. This is the contentious high capacity magazine ban bill that struggled to exit the Senate and has been churning in the House.
SB25-003 has been likened to an assault weapons ban, and advocates for the bill said hilarious things during Senate public comment, such as that the bill wasn't an infringement because magazines could be welded to the firearms. Firearms advocates were baffled in response, rightly, as leftists proved they are firearm illiterate.
With public comment before the Senate committee going late into the evening, the bill seemed uncertain to pass. But it did pass out of the Senate, and now it's in the House. Public comment continues, with the majority opposed, as of press time.
