Here at the Colorado Free Press, we've been reporting on Polis' vanity bridge since it was announced.

"Why are we still building a bridge that even the Governor's allies don't want?" we asked, and the majority of Colorado agrees with us. In an online poll, the Governor asked for voter input on the project, and overwhelmingly, 94% of Colorado said kill the bridge:
"Coloradans who took part in our online survey have voted not to proceed with the Colorado 150 Pedestrian Walkway to celebrate our 150th anniversary as a state," Polis said on X Tuesday. "Thank you to everyone who shared their opinions and voted. I will commit my time and effort to prevent this walkway from being built, even if I have to chain myself to the Capitol Plaza to stop it! Over 80,000 people participated in just five days! Yes: 3,330 (3.8%), Maybe: 2,043 (2.3%), No: 82,313 (93.9%), Total Votes: 87,686."
Devastating results for the Governor's vanity project. In response, he is gaslighting everyone into believing that he now heads the bridge opposition.

It was literally his idea.
