With President Trump hinting at changing the federal designation of cannabis, Republicans have been not been shy about how much they hate cannabis.

Conservative radio host Jeff Hunt is pretty outspoken on this issue. Here he is on X defending Cannabis "prohibition" -- banning a plant with proven medicinal value -- he talks about fentanyl.

Brandon Wark of Free State Colorado is on the other side of the issue; that is, he is not advocating for the use of state force against people that prefer cannabis. Here he is on X stating his position:

Republicans want another turn at central planning. But after DSA centralized all that government power, should we just hand that apparatus to Republicans for a different flavor of the same authoritarianism?

At the first hint of possible power in our state, Republicans want to bring back prohibition. It's almost as if they've learned nothing at all.

Anyway, Jeff and Brandon ended up doing a debate. Brandon obviously won.
