Colorado Free Press' Ashe Epp joined Ryan Shuiling on 630 KHOW Thursday, to discuss the allegations of sex trafficking in the Colorado Governor's Office and General Assembly.

As we reported over the weekend, the alarming allegations were made by gubernatorial candidate and current state representative Scott Bottoms Saturday, and Bottoms has faced fierce backlash from establishment Republicans in the Centennial State. George Brauchler joined Shuiling after Ashe's interview, and he stated unequivocally that he has no knowledge of sex trafficking activity in the government.

Both guests spoke about the late Senator Faith Winter, a controversial figure who who died in a five-car crash that was determined to be her fault -- her blood alcohol level was 0.185%; the threshold for driving under the influence is 0.08%.

Prior to her death, Winter stepped away from her duties in 2024 after an panel found she violated Senate ethics rules by attending a constituent meeting in Northglenn while intoxicated in April of that year. You can watch the meeting that launched the complaint here:

“The evidence that we received indicated that this was part of a larger pattern, that it was not the first instance,” Senator Bob Gardner (D-Frisco) said at the time of the panel hearing and ethics complaint. “Sen. Winter failed to uphold the integrity and conduct expected of a senator.”

Six months after Winter was slapped on the wrist and sent to rehab, she was a sponsor on the Kelly Loving Act, which "expands legal protections and policies in Colorado for individuals, especially minors, receiving or affirming gender identity and expression, particularly in cases of family law, education, and public accommodations. It addresses coercive control, chosen names, misgendering, deadnaming, and out-of-state child removal laws related to gender-affirming care."

That bill was signed into law by Governor Polis -- it allows authorities to remove children if the parents are engaging in "coercive control." She also reportedly had a "crash couch" for "runaway youth" at her home.

"Winter is a perfect example of the system protecting itself. Praise God her reckless conduct didn't take any additional lives, but three other people were injured in that crash," Ashe Epp said when asked to clarify her remarks about Winter on Shuiling. "This person was making law to take other people's children away, and she was a degenerate alcoholic that showed up to work wasted and operated a vehicle when she was more than twice legal limit. Also, she allegedly had a 'crash couch' for 'runaway teens' at her house. The only reason she is no longer a threat to the community is that she killed herself. It's certainly not because of any meaningful checks and balances from Colorado's impotent DAs and their not-my-jobism, which has defined the Colorado justice apparatus for as long as I can remember. Again, she was responsible for making law. Ironically, she was the chair of the Senate Transportation and Energy Committee when she showed up to that constituent meeting!"
