City to Crack Down on Pueblo Hotels If Proposed Ordinance Passes

Two hotels shut down this year in Pueblo due to an increase in crime — drugs, soliciting, homicide — being reported to police. 

In response, the City of Pueblo will vote later this month on a new city ordinance to put stricter requirements on hotels. 

Sure, why not? If you’re unwilling to criminalize crime, punishing businesses is a perfect second choice. 

Make lodging safe again.
