With the decisive loss of Governor Polis' coveted Prop HH just three days ago, Polis is calling the legislature to hold a special session to lower residential property taxes. In the Executive Order (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1S6d4O9kEBVCYPXfJi_S3RozyJhAOdqq0/view) he also asked the legislature to push through a bill so the state can grab millions of federal dollars to feed Colorado children during the summer months when school is out.
In addition, there most likely will be a bill similar to HB23-1311 (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb23-1311) which would have been enacted had Prop HH passed. It essentially is a mechanism to redistribute wealth using TABOR as the vehicle. Watch for it!
The extraordinary session will begin on Friday, November 17th at 9 am.
