An environmental group is seeking to ban slaughterhouse in Denver, with a local ballot initiative coming before voters in November.
From Rural Radio:
“A new ballot measure would ban slaughterhouses in the city and county of Denver. Pro-Animal Future is a political group that has introduced the measure. The group is opposed to the harvesting of animals and argues that the slaughterhouse odors are a ‘nuisance’ to nearby neighborhoods.”
Another progressive fever dream, the measure “could cost Colorado’s economy up to $861 million and impact nearly 3,000 jobs, according to a Colorado State University Regional Economic Development study.”
