Abraham the man of Faith, the one who dropped everything in his worldly life to obey God and “go to a land I’ll show you”. As a child you may remember singing the song “Father Abraham”. The song goes like this:
Father Abraham had many sons
Many sons had Father Abraham
I am one of them and so are you
So let’s just praise the Lord
Who are the sons of Abraham, and why does it matter? Christians accept Abraham as the “Father of Faith.” It’s a spiritual understanding and not necessarily a physical bloodline, all the though the bloodline is important as well. His act of faith is the ultimate example a father should set, for his Godly children. The scriptures are clear, we may all be grafted spiritually into the family of Abraham. Consider Romans 4: 13-17:
13 For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect, 15 because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression.
16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be [d]sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all 17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God…
Searching the scriptures is incredibly important in a time of deception and division. Satan loves to lie, divide, and accuse the brethren and that’s where we are right now in America. Presently, we are being divided in so many ways. A few examples are: Republican vs Democrat, Ukraine vs Russia, open border vs closed border, pro-abortion vs pro-life, and Israel vs Palestine.
