Herman's Hideaway is diversifying. After 65 years, the iconic venue is rebranding as Coco Bongo at Herman's Hideaway, a Latin nightclub.
I spent many nights at Herman’s while studying at CU, often turning up for On Second Thought shows and 80’s Night.
It’s a bittersweet change — Latin music and dancing are a welcome addition to the neighborhood, but it’s also the end of an era for Herman’s.
We all have some time to process how we feel about Coco Bongo as, during renovations, problems with the subfloor were discovered, and it is uncertain when the next chapter of Herman’s will launch.
