Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has until September 6 to remove his name from the Centennial State ballot, after suspending his campaign and throwing his support behind President Trump on August 23.
He’s staying on.
According to reporting from the Colorado Sun, “Kennedy’s campaign informed Colorado elections officials of its decision on Tuesday. ‘We are not withdrawing in Colorado,’ Kennedy’s campaign wrote to the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office.”
Prior polling put Kennedy around 12% in Colorado, but polling since Harris’ successful coup for the nomination is hard to come by.
Third party candidates rarely gain more than 2% of the vote in Colorado, but Kennedy appeared to be shattering that norm in 2024. More Kennedy signs than Biden/Harris/Walz ones could be spotted in suburban neighborhoods across the front range.
Let’s see what happens.
