As if we didn’t have enough confusing ballot initiatives this November, so-called environmental activists are foisting another onto Colorado voters.

Animal rights activists believe they know more than the ranchers, farmers, and other land owners and experts who have been managing the Colorado wildlife population for decades. They don’t. Look at their results on the wolf initiative for receipts.

In a related story out of Westword, activists are concerned about the impact of killing wild species for raping domesticated animals.

You really can’t make this up. Believe all lions, or something.

Until the Secretary of State “counts” the signatures and voters decide in November, you’re still free (for now) to protect your property and family from a ravenous mountain lion, bobcat or lynx.

Just don’t sell the pelt to China.
