President Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter Sunday, in a blanket pardon that covers any and all crimes he committed against the United States going back to 2014.

Notably, this pardon does not cover state crimes, and it cannot lawfully amount to a self-pardon for the 46th President. Keep that in mind as you consider that this move also may have set up explosive Hunter Biden testimony under the 119th Congress, as Hunter cannot invoke the Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination — due to the pardon, the Biden spawn has no risk of self incrimination. Incoming Senators and Congressmen are already hinting that such a testimony is most definitely on the table.

From former Senate Judiciary Chief Counsel Mike Davis, back in November 25:

“If Biden pardons someone--like, say, Hunter or Jack Smith--they can no longer invoke the Fifth Amendment's right against self-incrimination to avoid testifying before Congress or grand juries. If those pardoned refuse to testify, they can face new charges for criminal contempt," Davis wrote.

That’s the future potential of this pardon, and conservatives have been gaming out scenarios since news of the pardon dropped. In contrast, progressives are attacking each other and proving they’re total lack of integrity.

Here in Colorado, Governor Jared Polis took to X to lament Biden’s decision:

“While as a father I certainly understand President @JoeBiden’s natural desire to help his son by pardoning him, I am disappointed that he put his family ahead of the country. This is a bad precedent that could be abused by later Presidents and will sadly tarnish his reputation," Polis said, continuing, "When you become President, your role is Pater familias of the nation. Hunter brought the legal trouble he faced on himself, and one can sympathize with his struggles while also acknowledging that no one is above the law, not a President and not a President’s son.”

The comment section of this post should make Polis pleased he no longer has to seek reelection in Colorado.

Progressives calling on the first openly gay governor in the nation to resign was not on my 2024 bingo card. I'm here for it, though.

Representative David Ortiz (D-HD38) went hard at the governor in response, calling him a “pandering wealthy jerk”:

“You don’t understand as a father because NONE of your kids got Glioblastoma because of their military service & died. You didn’t lose your spouse & young daughter in a car crash with only two surviving sons. You don’t have the moral high ground here, pandering wealthy jerk," Ortiz wrote.

Following the landslide November 5 election, where the Colorado communists lost their celebrated super majority, the super empathetic and tolerant people have begun to eat each other. I wouldn’t call them delicious — too much soy, seed oils, and lab grown meat — but this moment certainly is delicious, and I am savoring it. Just like those savage cannibals savored Uncle Bosey. RIP.

In all seriousness, the Colorado Governor is correct that the pardon is a bad precedent, the progressives are shedding their pretense of integrity by defending the corrupt decision, and the fall out is pure entertainment for the free people of Colorado.

The bottom line: With a little luck and focus, the 2024 anti-authoritarian coalition of America First republicans, libertarians, and proudly unaffiliated free folk can flip the Colorado government in 2026.

    This is the way.
