The GOP primary field for the 2026 Colorado Gubernatorial election continues to grow, with Victor Marx entering the race on Wednesday.
Marx is the founder of All Things Possible Ministries, a Christian nonprofit focused on veterans, orphans, and human trafficking victims, and he is a US Marine Corps veteran. From his website:
“Severely abused and tortured as a child, by the time Victor graduated from high school, his lifestyle was filled with drugs, fights and theft. The discipline of military life and faith in God helped him recover from his traumatic childhood and empowers him to help others. Today, Victor focuses his attention to hunting predators, and rescuing, restoring and empowering women and children who have been held captive by traffickers and other abusers.”
Marx has been teasing a run since the Charlie Kirk memorial on September 14, where he announced that he was considering running and would announce on October 1. Marx was reportedly friends with Kirk, Kirk having written the foreword for Marx’s book, The Dangerous Gentleman: A Call for Men to be Courageous in a Culture of Fear. He was reportedly Charlie Kirk’s mentor and was with Erika Kirk just prior to the memorial.
Marx is running as an outsider, a faith leader, a “dangerous gentleman,” and his announcement on Wednesday has excited Colorado’s America First reformers as well as the state’s Republican establishment players.
The race for GOP gubernatorial nomination is crowded, including State Senator Barbara Kirkmeyer (SD23), former US Representative Greg Lopez (CD04), and State Senator Mark Baisley (SD04), and local Pastor and current State Representative Scott Bottoms (HD15), and reportedly six others.
Prior to Marx’s nomination, the visible America First support favored Bottoms, but Marx’s announcement has the potential to shake up the field. And it’s early: The deadline for entering the race is March 18, 2026. The Colorado primary is Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
