Despite the ongoing polycrisis in Colorado, state legislators Friday spent time on a ceremonial condemnation of pardons. Not the preemptive and sweeping pardons of Joe Biden and his family members and other proxy criminals, but of President Trump's pardons.
How silly and hypocritical.
In response, Republicans in the chamber turned their backs on their colleagues. Literally.
"House Republicans have turned their back on partisan politics that defy what the people asked when they voted our Representatives into office," the caucus posted on X, continuing, "Colorado Democrats are wasting time on a partisan resolution condemning pardons instead of working on real issues. Not a single life in Colorado will be saved by this political stunt. #copolitics"
At least more than three or four of them are fighting back now. It's a better look for Colorado Republicans than their usual self-sabotaging infighting... even if it's merely symbolic.
