“We just set a new record for speed,” the Swisspod CEO said, according to reporting from The Colorado Sun, “and we only used 62% of the power we had.”
Swisspod's November 21 test run in the Pueblo Hyperloop was successful, reaching nearly 65 mph. According to the Sun, "the test run attracted attention from local, state and federal officials as well as tech nerds, economic development folks and transportation experts."

The mayor said we're looking at the potential to "transform mobility worldwide."
What to Know:
It Works: Until, in the US, now hyperloop has been more sci-fi and PR than working infrastructure, at least as far as the public is aware. With the physical track and vehicle tests, hyperloop is hitting meat space. Of course, there’s a big gap between “proof-of-concept run” and “full-scale, passenger-ready hyperloop.” But we're on our way.
It's Designed for Scale: Swisspod’s strategy is to put most of the sophistication (electronics, propulsion, control) in the pod, not in the track itself, making their track infrastructure ~1/10 the market. Cost has always been a key challenge for high-speed rail — this is game changing.
It's The Future of Freight: Swisspod’s long-term vision isn’t just testing pods — it’s to develop a system that could carry freight or people across long distances at very high speeds. Swisspod CEO Denis Tudor says hyperloops are, “as fast as a plane and as convenient as a train.” This is a potential paradigm shift for logistics.
The November 21 success marks a milestone. They’ve moved hyperloop from speculative white-papers and scale-models into real, physical infrastructure with a moving capsule — something no other team has yet done at this scale.

Onward to the Golden Age!
