Last month, a juvenile was identified and ostensibly arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff’ Office for starting a brush fire in Castle Pines.

On July 2, a 15 year old and 16 year old were arrested after a car chase with deputies in Douglas County. According to Fox31, the teens “were taken into custody on multiple charges including possession of a gun.” WATCH:

A few days later, on July 4th, an 18 year old was taken into custody for shooting a 17 year old girl in the leg in Roxborough.

From ABC Denver 7, “Michael Kopecky, 18, a resident of the home, was taken into custody and sent to the Douglas County Jail where he faces charges of first-degree assault and felony menacing, as well as prohibited use of a weapon.”

According to the Lexis Nexis Community Crime Map, as used by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, DougCo is a sanctuary from the near constant crime in the Denver and Colorado Springs metro areas.
