Greg Lopez will be sworn into Congress today, after winning the June 25 special election for Ken Buck's vacant seat. Buck resigned his seat in March, leaving his nearly 750,000 constituents without representation for several months.

Lopez, a 60 Air Force veteran, previously ran unsuccessfully for governor, twice, but won the special election handily. He is not on the ballot in November, and will serve the six months remaining in Buck's term through January 2025.

Representative Lauren Boebert (CD3) is running for the CD4 seat in November after winning the June primary. She will face Democrat Trisha Calvarese, who was defeated by Lopez in the Special Election.
