According to the Colorado Sun, Colorado unemployment is the highest it's been in three years.
"Colorado’s unemployment rate rose to 4.4% last month, up one-tenth of a percentage point and the highest in three years. At the same time, there are fewer job openings and fewer people filing to start a new business."
In response to the news that few people are working and starting businesses, Secretary of State Jena Griswold said, “Colorado remains in a strong economic position and the state and national outlook is positive.”
You' forgive us for not believing the Secretary. She recently told Colorado citizens that our elections were safe and secure despite her department leaking the passwords to the public, failing to remedy the breach for months, and failing to notify the counties until they were publicly caught in a cover up.
"New business filings in Colorado fell 0.4% in the fourth quarter from a year ago, but renewals were up 6.5%, so companies are sticking around," Griswold said, according to the Sun.
In January, Fox 31 reported:
"The Centennial State dropped 31 places in U-Haul’s ranking of states with the most growth in the U.S. in 2024. For 2023, Colorado ranked as the 9th state with the most growth in the U.S. ...Colorado has ranked in the top 10 and remained a net-gain [of population] state...for all but one year from 2015-2023. However, this year Colorado dropped 31 spots in the ranking, more than any other state, landing at No. 40 for 2024."
Vibrant.
