Reports of violent newcomer gangs in Colorado have done nothing to sway progressive Democrat politicians and bureaucrats from their long held position that newcomers are our strength. In fact, Colorado and Denver officials are largely denying the extent of the problem.

On Wednesday, KDVR published footage of a heavily armed group of men overtaking apartments at the Edge at Lowry apartment complex in Aurora. The video went viral and the nation watched in horror.

Aurora Police Department’s response was to claim they had no knowledge of apartment takeovers, but that their “special task force” was monitoring gang activity and collecting evidence.

In contrast, local officials are debunking the official narrative and pleading for sanity.

Danielle Jurinsky is a Republican Aurora City Council member who has been vocal about the criminal activity since the alarming Venezuelan mob activity in July. Jurinsky told Axios, “building residents and Aurora police officers have told her Tren de Aragua has taken over at least four apartment complexes in Aurora.”

Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman confirmed to Fox News that apartment buildings have, in fact, fallen to gangs. From Axios, “Aurora and Denver police on Wednesday said they're aware of Tren de Aragua's presence in the Denver metro and have tied the gang to some local, unspecified crimes.”

One of those “unspecified” crimes is the June jewelry store heist that Colorado Free Press has been covering since it happened. This is the go-to example of government officials to explain away TdA violence as “isolated” and position themselves as tough on crime. Notably, the jewelry was never recovered.

Councilwoman Jurinsky is focused on protecting residents, and claims to have helped three residents move to date.

The Colorado government has been largely silent on the entire issue of gang activity; however, they all came out in unison Thursday to condemn inflammatory protest signs, claiming the signs are “racist” and “xenophobic.”

They were all on message and speaking in unison. And they've all been silent on the criminal gangs terrorizing Colorado residents.

To his credit, Valdamar Archuleta, a Republican candidate for Colorado's First Congressional District, pushed back on the coordinated narrative.

In a change effort, you get the outcome you incentivize, and the Biden-Harris DHS, along with Colorado local government, is incentivizing sanctuary cities, NGO outsourcing, and rising crime.

You can’t see all that money at work solving the issue, because immigration is very complicated, it requires an elevated sense of equity and empathy and, also, the money is likely just being laundered.

Looting the treasury by funding an invasion is a nasty set of high crimes. Most Americans are now on board with mass deportation, but we also must ensure that the communist revolutionaries driving this current fever dream are brought to justice.

    Stay safe, everyone.
