"It's our responsibility to ensure that the right users are paying their fair share, to make sure that we're not having a burden on some unfairly. I do think we're finding a balance," Senate President Steve Fenberg (D-Boulder) told Axios.

The only “users” that won’t feel the pain of these new fees are the wealthy ones. From Alcohol and rental cars to tires and telephones to air quality and emissions, no Colorado resident is beyond impact. In fact the lead of the Axios article linked above, published right before the close of the legislative session, is:

“It's going to cost more to live and work in Colorado once Democratic lawmakers finish their work at the Capitol this session.”

Even Axios can’t deny the coming pain of these new policies.

    Remember come November.
